I started getting this error message on my screen just before it shut down, when I would turn off my laptop.
I tried everything to make it go away. Along with this problem was incredibly slow bootups and shutdowns.
I finally found what causes it: Its Norton Antivirus. Seems you can either live with this problem, or uninstall Norton. Hope this helps. See my source below for a message thread about this problem and solutions:
