I fear that China has not abandoned Communism at all. I think that they are gearing up to become a huge industrial country (while accumulating massive physical gold reserves) in order - a long way down the road - to become a superpower and start to assert themselves. The Chinese psyche is one of very long-term thinking and immense patience. When they want to buy in nuclear technology, they will have the gold to pay for it with plenty over. America has been shown to be highly vulnerable and is now overstretched. So is the UK. On to the world stage enters China. Now what do we do?
