Hey, guys. I'm a big fan of the Daily Show. I just got done watching (for the 100th time) Jon Stewart lay the smackdown on Tucker Carlson on Crossfire from 2004.

I was wondering-

How do most conservatives and Republicans feel about Jon Stewart. I mean, the Daily Show obviously favours the left. I've never seen any conservative speak out about Jon Stewart or the Daily Show. I'm sure people on Fox News are annoyed by him even a little bit.

So what do you guys think?

I agree he is one sided entertainment, like most on Comedy central. I could care less, I think most of the media has a leftist slant.

I am a liberal republican, meaning that I agree with issues presented by both sides. But I tend to lean more towards the republican side. I absolutely LOVE Jon Stewart. Hes funny and very smart. And while he does make fun of most conservatives, that is what is so awesome about being an American. He can say whatever the hell he wants to. He's great.

I should say that I consider myself moderate. I'm not a fan of Jon Stewart, but I think that most conservatives do not feel too passionate about him because he tends to maintain a style where humor is more important than developing a political goal (as opposed to someone like Al Franken).

Personally, I've never been that amused by "news-based humor" (Jon Stewart, "Daily News" portion of SNL, or those segments where people like Leno or Letterman post news headline and start telling jokes from there). All of it just seems as shallow as any other humor, but trying to be something more.

I find him quite confusing, actually.

He's against those who are all about making money (corporations and Republicans, as stated by some Democrats), but he gets HUGE pay days.

Unless he donates a majority of his cash me makes from the show, he's just a hypocrite.

Like any celebrity, fame and fortune are his guide.
