The visible disk of the sun is called the Photosphere and has a temperature of around 5,800 degrees Celsius. The Sun's atmosphere, called the Corona, can only be seen from Earth during a total eclipse. Don't forget that the brief period of totality is the only time that you can look towards the Sun without special eye protection. The Corona has a temperature of around 5,000,000 degrees Celsius.
The temperature at the core of the Sun is around 13,600,000 degrees Celsius.
It is the radiation of energy from the Sun that makes life on Earth possible.

Only during the day time. When they send the next shuttle to land on the Sun they will do it at night for safety reasons.

No. Cold. It burns but only in the same way people get frostburn. If you were standing on the surface of the sun you'd need a thick coat.
