Hmmm. ok. Partying: You and that Booty by E-40 and T-Pain, Fergalicious by Fergie, Snap Your Fingers by Lil Jon, Man Eater and Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado... anything that's hiphop related. Other songs for chillin: Snow (Hey Oh) and Tell Me Baby by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, How To Save a Life by the Fray, Somewhere Only We Know by Keane, It Ends Tonight and Move Along by All-American Rejects and anything else that's not hiphop. Favorite songs to party to- any early Beastie Boys (i.e. Brass Monkey, Hey Ladies, No Sleep til Brooklyn). Good appeal for a broad group of people since nearly everyone likes them; not to mention that you can dance to it, and it's upbeat and generally just makes people want to party.
Chill music- Try Sade, "Best of Sade." I always play this during dinner when people come over cuz it's almost like sexy elevator music. It's very soothing and she's got a rich, beautiful voice. It makes perfect background music because it's chill, completely unoffensive, and not at all distracting to conversation. You can also use it to get your lady in the mood, if you know what I mean.
