whether I burn the cd with the Nero program or the Yahoo music program I cannot get any source other than the computer to read it. I am burning audio cd format and not mp3 or any other file. It's really confusing to me. I have burned on sonny rw discs and well as memorex cd-rw. What must I do.

I think you need to be using CD-R's not RW's. Most car and home cd players only play with R's. The best CD-R's to buy are Sony audio/music or Maxell CD-R Music Pro.

not all stereos are set up to play burned discs.
If the stereo is old, chances are it won't play them. And not all car stereos are compatible either. Try it on someone else's stereo who knows that they work. Then you'll know if it's your discs or the stereo.
