I will be flying in from out of town and do not know the area. M friend and I still wanted somewhere to go for Christmass Day. Thanks for your answers.

Check Time Out Chicago's website. Their most recent two issues have the names of bars and restaurants that are open on Christmas day.

There isn't much of anything. Grocery stores have limited hours and maybe a pizza joint. I tried to get Chinese last year and couldn't. Maybe in Chinatown there's something open but even Buddhists are Christian on Christmas in Chicago. Good luck, maybe eat at the airport?
