DELETING YAHOO HOME PAGE HISTORY
The record of search history which appears in the search box on Yahoo! home page is actually a feature controlled by your browser, not Yahoo!
If you have Internet Explorer as your browser, you may stop the search history from being generated by following the instructions below:
Select the the 'Tools' menu in Internet Explorer.
Select 'Internet Options', then select the 'Content' tab.
Under Personal information, click on the 'AutoComplete' box.
On the AutoComplete Settings window you can click the 'Clear Forms' box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history.

DELETING YAHOO HOME PAGE SEARCHES ONE BY ONE
If you want to delete only certain web searches then just click in the search box without typing anything in it. You will see the whole list of websites. Now, just keep your cursor on the website that you want to delete (remember DON'T click on it) and press DELETE button on your keyboard and it will vanish.
This way you can delete the searches that you don't want and keep the ones that are required for future reference.

Hi there, while on internet page, go to menu, Go to tools, open menu, click on Internet Options, A window will appear, click on content tab, Another window will appear called Content Advisor. Click the approved sites tab, you will see a space where you can type, type the web page you do not want to be typed or shown, then click Never, this means that no-one will be-able to open this web site even if it is typed in the browser. Click Apply and then ok and you're set.

Turn off autocomplete.

To change AutoComplete settings

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under AutoComplete, click Settings.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.
Click OK in both of the warning windows.

This is how it works in IE, and Yahoo browser.

In Firefox, click on Tools, then Options, then Privacy. Uncheck the box marked "Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar." click ok. Also on all these, to make sure to delete your cookies, browser cache, and history.

You can add a website to the hosts file for your version of windows.

this tricks windows into thinking a website is on your PC and not the internet. This means that when you type the website in it doesn't bring up the website.

For information on how to do this look here http://www.allthingsmarked.com/2006/08/28/howto-block-websites-using-the-hosts-file/

The easiest way is to add the site as blocked in Internet Explorer - Click on Tools, Internet Options, click the Privacy tab, click the Sites button...here type in the web address and then click Block. The site is now blocked
