Wow-lot of money. Okay on the assumption that all the money had to be spent. I would start with 10% going to the local Christmas Unlimited for the kids who wouldn't have Christmas.
I would take my daughter on a clothes shopping trip. I would send my brothers gift cards - 2 for each of my nieces and nephews to Toys R Us ($100 ) and WalMart ($400) (toys and clothes), the same for my ex-mother in law who is raising my ex brother in laws 5 kids.
Next we fly out to visit my daughters siblings in two different states and go Christmas and clothes shopping with them also.

Now that all the kids are taken care of I look at the adult family members and see what one gift would make their life better. A nagging bill paid? A new tv? A kitchen set for the newlyweds? After that a present for myself and the money left over - the balance goes back to Care and Share, the local food bank.

A very large portion of that would go to local charity. There's only so much one can do with money on a personal level and that is quite an excessive amount! So charity, to me, is a good place to start. Then I'd secure my family, take care of my parents, my 90 year old grandmother so they wouldn't worry about their future. And I'd like to buy my husband a new tv. :)

Play Santa Claus, (giving it away anonymously) and give it away to all the hungry and poor. Giving them a Christmas that they can truly be thankful for and know that there are good, kind and loving folks around.
