If the fabric can be removed, have it drycleaned and apologize to the drycleaner for the stink. If it can't, you can try some of the enzymatic urine removers that pet stores sell, but my experience has shown me that if it is a cushion core or a carpet, that the smell will settle into the core or carpet pad, and "wick" back out later. If you can't remove it, get rid of the item because the cat will come back and tag it again and again.

If it can be washed I would soak it in Vinegar and water. I usually use one part vinegar to 3 parts water but you can go 2 parts it it's really bad. Let it soak overnite and wash in the washer. That usually takes care of the problem. I had a sick cat who wouldn't go on carpet or floors but if a towel or laundry was on the floor then look out. But that took care of the problem and the vet cured the cat and all is well.

At a pet or feed store get a product called Nature's Miracle Odor Eliminator. It is an enzyme that will basically "eat" the source of the odor. As a multi pet owner, I keep a couple quarts in the house at all times.

You could try baking soda by rubbing in fabric and then pour white vinegar over it this might release the smell.
