The Big 12 is a Basketball Conference like the Pac 10 that is full of NCAA Division 1 schools located in the central US. The teams include Colorado Buffaloes, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Missouri Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Baylor Bears, Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The big 12 is the conference that Kansas is in. Just about every school is in a group of other regional school and they compete for a regional title. Then, like this year in NCAA football, Florida (Southeastern Conference or SEC) and Ohio State (Big 10) compete for a national title.
