When are we going to grow up about sex and prostitution? Even serial killers who do not directly target these desperately vulnerable women usually have, at the heart of their drive to kill, some form of sex-based dysfunction.

We condemn women who offer sexual gratification in return for money yet lionise women who seek out rich men to marry for money. And we sell everything from toilet cleanser to cars with sex. For those with sexual hang-ups our society must be like being an alcoholic required to work in a brewery.

Legalising prostitution is a no-brainer: the women are kept healthy and safe, do not pass on or acquire disease and get a fair share of the money that their work generates. The whole process is removed from the exploitative power of criminals. Police are freed to pursue more worthwhile targets.

I think we should legalise prostitution, its the longest going profession know, someone is always going to be willing to pay for sex so legalising it means that these ladies (and men) work somewhere safer and hopefully healthier, then I think thats good. Also like you say, the police wont waste time charging people who are just gonna go back out there once they have been released,

I agree 100 percent.!!!
Thumbs up from me.!!!
The police have more time to chase the Real Criminals and leave these poor woman alone, make them pay tax, provide them with Medical checks and remove the Criminal element, the same goes for Drug Addicts - go the same route as Holland, it's worked there i don't see why it will not work for the whole of Europe.!!!

Absolutely agree. In Amsterdam it is monitered in legalised brothels. The women are kept off the street in a safe environment and screened regularly for std's. I have never used one myself but I do not condemn it. Prostitution is probably one of the oldest proffesions in the world, its not going to go away, we have to accept its a necessary vice in this world.

I've never really had a clear opinion on prostitution but, the more I think about I say, go for it. It's not the choice of the government what a woman does with her body. It's like abortion; it's a woman's choice.

I agree. But prostitution is already legal, it's just brothels and soliciting that aren't.

I think brothels should be legalised - places where these girls can work safely, and people can visit them. Soliciting should, I feel, remain illegal - it's a very dangerous thing to do.

I agree,i know its a moral issue but as long as its properly regulated by local goverment.and the girls are happy to do it ,then i reluctantly feel it should be legal.
