when you seat on any window seat, you must have observed the air rushing in and not going out. The same is felt even in a car, even if only one window glass is open.

if there is only one window open then the air would not easily go out and the air filled in the vehicle would not allow any more air to enter from the same window...

if you open another window on the opposite side of the vehicle... then the air will enter in its full throttle... that is called cross-ventilation

try it next time...

if u go to 20 floor of a skyscraper and open the windows u will find that the air is coming from one side and going to the other side the motion of air is like a twister it goes round and round if u place a paper u will find it going out of the window from the other side this is called CROSS VENTILATION which is manly used for proper breathing so the air enters from one side and goes out from the other side but since the speed of air is great u feel it as coming from out but actually its coming from the other side and going out the process is continuous so hardly u will notice

in a moving car, its kind of difficult to tell if the wind hitting you is moving in or out. if you tossed little bits of paper in the air, you would see that some are blowing in and some are blowing out.
