When are we going to grow up about sex and prostitution? Even serial killers who do not directly target these desperately vulnerable women usually have, at the heart of their drive to kill, some form of sex-based dysfunction.

We condemn women who offer sexual gratification in return for money yet lionise women who seek out rich men to marry for money. And we sell everything from toilet cleanser to cars with sex. For those with sexual hang-ups our society must be like being an alcoholic required to work in a brewery.

Legalising prostitution is a no-brainer: the women are kept healthy and safe, do not pass on or acquire disease and get a fair share of the money that their work generates. The whole process is removed from the exploitative power of criminals. Police are freed to pursue more worthwhile targets.

First of all, legalizing prostitution is no defence against murder.

Do we have to be so pathetically PC? they arent sex workers , they arent vulnerable , they arent "someones daughters",
Theyre just whores exchanging sex for money.Im not judging ,but lets just call a spade a spade.

They are not forced into this trade , they choose it.Very often they choose it because it pays the best rates for buying drugs.

Prostitution shouldnt be legalised, why should it? To debase society even further?
The police use very little resources to counter prostitution something which i also agree with.It isnt a major problem as it stands so if its not broken , dont fix it.

For a person not born to privilege, prostitution is very often mandatory to make a living in business or government. Why not make it legal for the small business person as well?

It has already been done in the European Union...guess What? it doesn't work, crime went up, drug addiction went up and all is not well over there. It is not as safe as Sweden, Denmark thought that it would be and men are taking diseases home to their wives and same sex partners. So much for a Utopian world.

We say the same thing about legalizing drugs. The thing is we are a country full of religeous busybodies that can not and will not mind their own damned business. That's it pure and simple.
