Hi ''christmas Spirit'' to me is forgetting about what has happened through the year good or bad. Singing carols, buying prezzies for loved ones, getting excited and feel like being a child again. A time for meeting and getting together with relatives, and drinking lots of alcohol in side a lovely warm house with all your family. Also recieveing gifts on christmas morning.

To my point of view the Christmas Spirit is that state that everybody can experience if he changes his life becoming more understanding towards others, towards their weakness, loving others for the simple fact they exist. For, what the world would be if it had been composed of only one human being, if between people there would be no communication? This is the Spirit of Christmas: Love, Communication between people and Understanding and the joy to live.

It's a feeling, and a Spirit that moves inside of people.

And motivates them toward Love, kindness, warmth, and taking actions toward those feelings to put them into words, deeds, and even material things, Yes! cause we need them and we know other people need them, too.

I think the feeling really does come from a higher power to us. And just knowing that a whole new year is soon to begin.

When we get in touch with the real love of it, we're alright. It just gets so hard to do sometimes with the over concentration of materialism we have now. Especially when that comes to totally useless things that people don't even need or want, while others are homeless and hungry.

Sitting near a nice candle, or fireside, and just meditating on the season. Taking time to give yourself the peace of total quietness can bring it back.

christmas spirit is that feeling when you can smell snow in the sky, when you see the gift that you seaeched high n low for wrapped up in secret knowing that who ever is going to get it will be soooo happy with you, its the lights in the sky and on the houses, its the pine tree smell in your house, its the days off that you definatly will see your family, its the way that you find your grandad in his hat eating christmas dinner so wonderful it makes you sad to realise he wont always be there one day, its knowing that everyone of the christmas' had and to come will always have something or someone special in them, its writing christmas cards to people, its the dark mornings n early nights, food, its thinking about someone and how well you know them, but i also always just feel happy at christmas and that is what it means to me!

Going hyper and for once in your life, sing along to the cheesy songs (that everyone PRETENDS to hate) at the top of your voice in a shopping centre without caring that everyone is staring at you!

Basically just loosening up and letting the world see you without a stack of work piled up around you!

But actually I'm 13 so I suppose I WOULD think that!

To give more to those in need. To be more tolerant on a daily basis. To be less selfserving. To take the time to appreciate the things truly important in your life, not what you can buy at the mall.To be thankful for family and friends and to take the time to show them just how much they mean to you.
