I'm driving a 1992 sierra 1.8 LX my insurance is £339 third party fire and theft........
I'm buying a 1986 jaguar XJ6 3.2 my insurance quote is £163 fully comp.....
Hope this answers the question fo you...........
If not... go for the classic every time not only does the car fall into the classic car bracket it means you can get classic car insurance and there are less classic minis than BMW sh1t minis on the road meaning the classic is more unique....
Go On Have Some

Classic.
I'd love to build a dream Mini. Coil sprung, rear beam axle, full cage, Kent 16v 180hp stage 4 engine, 5 speed box and disks all round.

Classic Mini all the way! Great wee cars, handle like a go-kart, cheap to run, easy to work on and fix, icon of a car!

Of course the Issigonis design for BMC... It was original, space efficient and fuel efficient, the Bavarian parody is none of these things.
