Most republicans that I have met in my life are that party because thier daddy was. They can be extremly intelegent but put up a wall in thier brain when it comes to thinking for themselves. All they do is repeat propaganda. It is frustrating to see human beings embrasing such evil ideals.

Real life has to hit them. Or, you just keep being respectful, feed small bits of information over years. You are, after all, rocking their dominant paradigm.

It's very strange to watch people who think they're good defending and supporting evil.

Both my parents are liberal, and I'm Independent with right leaning tendencies.

And, just to let you know, I've seen and heard other neolibs spouting out the same things that you just did...are you thinking for yourself? Or are you just following the hate filled propaganda of CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, or NPR?

And since when as the idea of "Personal Responsibility" been an evil ideal? Seems to me that the folks who "feel" that they're victims embrace the feeling and expect society to do something about it, rather than doing something about it themselves are the evil ones.

Well to generalize like that starts off on the wrong foot. Are all liberals baby killers? no, are all liberals molded in the likes of killer Ted Kennedy, no. So as a self proclaimed free thinker it is not safe to think for the opposing view. All people are individuals and therefore all of the different opinions expressed.

I'll bet you can get about the same percentages of people to agree and disagree with you by just changing the label you use here. Try the question with "democrat", "conservative", "liberal", "religious person", "atheist", "vegetarian", or anything else you can think of, and see what happens.

And your not a republican because you came to some great realization totally independent of your environment and parental influence or lack there of. What is it about liberals that makes them think they are so special and unique? I guess it goes hand and hand with an ideology that talks down to the poor and minorities and assumes that the majority of Americans are too dumb to think for themselves. Get off your high horse and respect your fellow man, republican or otherwise.

It's a waste of time.

Your efforts would be better spent making bullet proof clothing For when the New-O-Cons declare open season on the unwanted.
