if i buy an xbox live gold card for 12 months now can i activate it a month or two from now.?

im thinking about buying my son an xbox 360 and i know the premium version come with one free month of it. can i buy a 12 month gold live card and him activate it in february

yes you can buy it now and activate it in February. i a bought a card that was made in June, and activated it last month, so yes you can but now, activate later.

To activate it you have to put in the code on the card, there for it don't activate on its own.
