We hold our snakes at least once per week. We have found that going longer than that yields aggression from the oldest corn and the juvenile king snake. Our ball python and baby corn are NEVER aggressive.
We generally hold them anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. My BP likes to see in a tobbagon near my laptop while I peruse the Internet at night.
I would advise NOT holding your snake within 1.5 days of feeding. ALWAYS wash your hands with soap before _and_ after handling your snake. Never handle one snake, then go to another without washing your hands with soap.

Since he's a baby, you'd want to hold him as often as possible, like every day, when you first buy him so that he'll get used to you. Corn snakes enjoy human contact, and it's important to play with him early on so he won't give you a hard time later about being handled.
When you want to hold your snake, let him first see that your hand is flat so he won't think you have any food. I would suggest that you pick him up by the middle of the body, because if you pick him up by the neck, he might interpret that as aggression and bite you.
You should continue to play with your baby corn snake even when he's no longer a baby. It's possible that he'll bite you even if you're doing nothing wrong, but corn snakes aren't venomous, and they're babies anyway so it won't hurt that much. Even if you do get bite once or twice, it's important that you play with him a lot now now so he'll let you hold him easily in the long run.

I used to own an albino cornsnake and after I got her they told me to give her 2-3 days so she could get used to her new home and after that I mean if you have the time everyday would be nice! I tired to handle her about 5 days out of a 7 day week. Anywhere from, 15 minutes to a couple of hours. Although the day she is going to eat I don't handle her and the day after I don't either. I just grab her to put her into the feeding tank to feed and then she gets put back into her home.
If you have any questions feel free to email me.

If it is new people recommend you wait a week. I don't, give it a few days so it can get used to being handled. After feeding it you want to wait at least 24 hours before handling it again. Also feed your snake outside it's tank in another box that way it doesn't think seeing your hand or opening the tank means food and strikes at you.
I hold my snakes every other day for at least 10 mins a day. That way they are still used to being picked up.
If you have a very sensitive snake that doesn't eat properly don't pick him up until he has eaten 3 regular meals without throwing up. If you handle;e snakes too much that aren't used to being handled they will become stressed and throw up their food after eating or just stop eating all together. Anything else just let me know, I have Kings, corns, Milks, and ball pythons.

Not at all for the first week, then once a day or so until he gets used to it. Be sure your mind is calm and relaxed when you handle your snake-they will pick up on the energy.
When my babies whip around and act goosey, I hold them quietly until they calm down.....soon the warmth from your body relaxes them.
Also, don't restrain the snake by holding it tigthtly-let it crawl freely from hand to hand, they will calm down much sooner.

You should hold him 5 times a day. My cousin did this and his Corn Snake is now really good and can stay in the house.

don't hold it for the first couple of days. after that hold it every few days or so. they are incredibly fast when they are adolesants, so you have to keep a close eye on them. i lost one in my seat coushin once, and didn't find it until 4 months later. it it starts lashing or shaking it tail, put it back. they can secrete a really bad smell out of their vent when they are annoyed.
