He's like the only major star in the brawl, so what do you think the NBA will do to puish him?

10 games, nothing more, nothing less. He didn't go into the stands and beat up fans so this shouldn't be compared to the Pistons/Pacers brawl. I can't tell if David Stern will want to make an example out of one of the NBA's star players or if he'll want to just give him a slap on the wrist and let him get off easier.

carmelo is a punk. threw a haymaker and ran like a little kid as soon as he connected. that foul was definitely a flagrant two. carmelo HAD the image of a great superstart. things will change. david stern has made it clear this year that he wont tolerate any of this so i say 10 games for each player who threw a punch and 5 for those who were just involved in shoving matches. however carmelo and the rest will appeal of course and the league will reduce it like they usually do. the nba is horrible now. a whole bunch of punks that dont know what a professional basketball player is.

i guess he'll be suspended for a lot of games and also be fined.. as the youngest athlete involved he did a bad move, he's admired by the young generation and what he did is NOT a good example.. he threw punches which will now ruin his reputation

I think that he might get suspended for a couple of games and perhaps fined but no more than that.
