The reason this happens on Earth is because our planet has a core of liquid iron that is spun around because of the Earth's rotation. Iron is very magnetic, so we have a magnetic field. The moon doesn't have an iron core, so no megnetic field.

No, I don't think so. The Moon has little if any magnetic field.

Its because moon does not have a magnetic field of its own, since moon does not have a molten core.
