When i was with my boyfriend (3 years together),he had money problems so i gave him my guitare to sell..I wanted to help him, that was over a year ago,but now we arent together anymore..I dont care for the guitare, coz when he sold it,i was totally convinced that i wanted to help someone i love! But the problem is that i didnt tell my parents,so each time i watch TV with them and someone with a guitare appears i change to an other channel!
I'm always afraid about their question "where's your guitar"?
Actually they have never asked about it since over a year! But i'm always afraid if they'll do so!If they'll ask what will i do?
I'm living in tunisia,so the mentality is not the same as other countries!Help plz

I live in Tunisia also, so I know the mentality here.

The best thing you can do is to tell your parents the truth. It'll be hard and they may get mad, but they will appreciate your honesty and your willingness to come clean to them.

If you don't want to tell them you gave it to an ex-boyfriend, tell them it was to a friend and don't offer any other details. If you lie to your parents, you will only make things worse and they will not be willing to trust you again.

Guitars here are rather cheap. My husband bought a new one for around 65TDN. If you miss your guitar, you can always buy another one.

If I can be of more assistance, feel free to contact me.

Everyone makes mistakes, I hope this taught u never trust when it comes to money now your without your guitar and eventually your going to have to face your parents with the truth.

With your parents there is really only two alternatives (depending on what kind of parents you have).

Tell the truth and they will forgive you as making mistakes is part of the growing up/learning process.

or...

Lie through your teeth. Tell them you loaned it someone. When they tell you to get it back, lie. Tell them the other person broke it and they have it in the shop, when they ask again. Lie your butt off until you move out.

Two choices : come clean and spill the beans, or buy a new guitar
