Personally I would go for the xbox 360. For some simple reasons:
1) Nintendo's systems always start out with great developers support but then drop off, The xbox 360 developer support is sure to stay with it.
2) You may look like an idiot swinging a small white remote around.
3) It has been proven that the nintendo Wii can put a hole in your tv when the wrist strap breaks on the wiimote (remote).
4) Nintendo wii has inferior graphics and does not have HD.
5) Xbox Live kicks all online systems butts.

Xbox 360 has better graphics, HD, and the best online system EVER!
Th Wii is cheaper, unique, and GREAT for kids.
Me personally, I would go with the 360. Just more (and better) stuff.
If it's for a kid or you just like unique gameplay, go with the Wii.

The Xbox 360 is the same, but with newer graphics.
Get the Wii, it's a whole new control scheme.

If you want an established library of games and better graphics, get a Xbox 360.
If you want creative games and more innovation, get a Wii.

the 360 is really good graphics
the wii's games are stupid
you dont need a couch for the 360
you need a cougtch for COD2 on wii

Depends on your likings. Wii has a bunch of games coming out, inexpensive, the virtual console and the bas-*** controllers.
X-Box costs a little more, has a bunch of games already out... and the games are more adult oriented I guess.
It just depends if you still prefer Mario, Link, Samus, Donkey Kong or well Halo.

i would say PS3, but if i had to choose from those 2, then i'll say the X360. the wii isn't going to have any good games. just ask yourself what good new games are coming out for the wii? none! not even the new resident evil 5
