like you look at Christmas lights around the neighborhood. then back home for sitting in front of the fireplace with hot chocolate and Christmas music. talking and dreaming of Christmas past and our future. remembering the pleasure and fun of Christmases long gone and dreaming of those to come. sadly all to soon these traditions fade away as nothing lasts forever since people die leaving only their memories behind.

Leaving away from my hometown (Philippines), I miss the tradition we (family and me) had very Christmas Eve. The whole family will attend the Midnight Mass, after we are going to buy some sweets sell outside the church, as our house is near the church, everyone is obliged to walk. Along the way extending a warm greetings of the holiday to every persons we passed by. The whole family whole share a snacks others prepare meals but the traditional "bibingka and puto bubong" will always be there, then everyone is going to have exchane gifts young and old.All together we will open the gifts we received and give thanks to those who give. Christmas is a family day for us.

Well My parents let me open one present. My sister comes home from collage and we have a huge dinner. After dinner we all sit by the fireplace and have eggnog. We talk and talk and talk until like 10:00. We all go to bed with a warm feeling in our hearts that our family is all together for Christmas.

My husband and I sit and watch the midnight mass delivered by the Pope, on television over in Rome.
We started this a few years ago, and look forward to it each and every Christmas Eve.

My parents and I feast on artichokes, shrimp, clams, and crab legs while watching Mr. Magoo's Christmas. I'm 29 years old and don't have any kids of my own yet, so it's still a fairly "adult" event (as adult as you can get watching a cartoon! lol) but it's something that's really special to me, and can only imagine doing the one gift thing and all that when I do have kids.

We hung up our stockings, read Twas the Might Before Christmas, put cookies and milk out for Santa and then go to bed. I have pictures of this from when I was little. Now I am doing this with my children.

we always open one present, drive around the neighborhood and look at lights, and watch The Grinch and Rudolf the Red-nosed reindeer.

Let the kids open one present from within our family, let them stay up until they are falling asleep, carry them to their bedrooms.
