Bearded dragons like a varied diet, this should included crickets, giant mealworms, locusts, plus dandelions(leaves and flowers), watercress, kale, broccoli and soft fruit. Every other meal should be supplemented with a calcium and or vitamin D3 containing powder ie Nutrobal. The babies have a varied diet with insects proportional to their size.

First of all what is with all these people saying dont feed bearded dragons lettuce never ever well thats a load of crap ive been keeping & breeding B dragons for over 10 years & belive it or not folks i raise all my babies on a diet of carrot, lettuce & crickets so dont let these so called informed people tell you other wise.1 person said it gives then diaorea well it can it you feed the only lettuce.the reason behind this is that lettuce is very high in water content & if fed only lettuce yes the will get diaorea because the is no solid food souce in the diet. i also feed them peas, broc, baby corn, squash, cucumber, mince, dog food you will find green is the favored colour of dragons & they will eat anything green put in front of them this is my exprience i hope its of some help.

Mine loves parsley.

Rule of thumb: NEVER give them lettuce, it gives them the runs.

Beardies will eat fruits like apples, bananas, grapes and peaches.

I usually squeeze juice from a fruit into a shallow dish and put some Bearded Dragon pellets into it.

Ok there are a lot of good foods on here but I'll add this anyway. If you feed lettuce, feed romaine not iceburg. Also, never feed spinach. It binds calcium therefore the beardie does not get enough and can end up getting a bone disease. I don't know the proper name for it though.

our beardies have a varied diet of mealworms, wax worms, locust, cricket are ratherpartial to rocket and watercress, love any kind of fruit, carrots, stay away from spinache its like poison to a beardie lettuce is just full of water and has no dietry satisfaction at all yes my beardies also love the pure fruit juice in with their pellets,

beardies also get bored of eating the same thing all the time so try to vary their diet if u can.

I suggest you visit this website.. http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html

It lists all the foods safe for Bearded Dragons and how often each should be fed. It also lists the items that are not safe and should never be fed.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I have a bearded dragon too, and I give her broccoli, cauliflower(those are her favorites), apples, carrots, grapes, celery, anything like that but there one thing you must NEVER EVER feed it. Lettuce. If they eat lettuce they could get sick and die. Good Luck!
