I have a non genuine Windows XP Professional, i use AVG as antivirus and Spybot as antispyware.
I use the windows firewall.

If you cant download the upgrades to Windows you are not safe.Also,don't rely on the Windows firewall.Find a free one and use that.

You can never be 100% safe. Since you are using a non genuine version you most likely do not have all microsoft patches. So you are at even more risk. You can follow the tips in the link below to help be more secure.

ah! a fellow pireted xp user.no you are not with the windows firewall.it only protects one way. get zone alarm free at http://majorgeeks.com and get this free tool to keep registry errors fixed http://www.iobit.com and then instale and run this great free protection http://spywareterminator.com these all keep my non genuine xp pro running fast and safe. the fire wall is first and formost. then get the other 2. and if you run into needing any of the updates from Microsoft that they wont give to us because of non genuine then keep this site wrote down and go there for any & all updates.screw Bill Gates http://www.softwarepatch.com good luck.

If you find the program is good, get a genuine copy. Back up your windows and it'll save you alot of time
