i was going to school for elementary education and decided that i'm more interested in real estate. were military and currently stationed in texas. i dont want to live here forever. so how would it work? if i became certified through my school with the state what happens when i move out of state? is my certification still good or is it pointless for me to go to school right now while im in texas for real estate?
any advice is appreciated...and merry christmas!

You would have to take state board again probably. Though some states do recognize out of state certificates it's rare. Chances are you would not have to take entire class over. Varies from state to state......Go for it, any experience will help you down the road.

The other people are right, you would have probably have to take the state test in whichever state you moved to, but here is the good news... Texas requires a ton of 'hours' before you can sit for their test, so if you knock out the course hours in Texas you should be exempt from any in any other state... except maybe CA.

Merry Christmas to you and yours also.
Different states have what is called reciprocity laws and if you are licensed in one state that means that certain states will acknowledge your license in their states with the proper applications and fees. Texas has reciprocity laws.

You'd need to take the state exams in the new state.

TX is probably the toughest nut to crack so most other states should be easy by comparison. I'd get the TX license while I was there.
