I've got to do the music for a scottish theme party over xmas... Obviously there's all the normal bag pipes and stuff... and the Proclaimers...

What other bands come from scotland? Preferably a mix of new and old bands!

Oh where do I start. Hmmm?
Ok here goes, what it's worth.."Busymum", Annie Lennox IS (not was) Scottish..
"Weegie Geek", A fantastic collection of artists there..Glad you mentioned Scotland's Finest EVER rocker, the Sensational Alex Harvey.
R.I.P. Alex (God No.2) Harvey..
"Cornivus", thank you also for mentioning the late, great Alex Harvey.
"Weegie Geek" (again), & "Crazy Bus Live" Great to see you both mentioned the finest pop band EVER to come out of Scotland, the Fantastic Wet Wet Wet.. (guess who I'll be watchin' live in Aberdeen on Hogmanay, this year)?

Oh and lastly "Douglas B", & "3 Kirst"..much as he would like to be..Rod Stewart isn't and NEVER was one o' Jock Tamson's Bairns..
But we can make him an Honorary Scot, because he IS Celtic daft..
Wha's like us, eh?
Ta-ra-ra-noo..frae ra ..
Ali Bali..ali-Bali bee, sitin' oan yer Mammy's knee..
Byeeee

Travis, KT Tunstall (she sould count as a band because she has a band), The Fratellis, Franz Ferdinand, Sandi Thom (but she's not a band), Wet Wet Wet and Michelle McManus (but she's not a band either).

I think Annie Lennox was Scottish. Oh, and of course, the very talented Lulu.
