I hate having an "x" on each tab, I liked having just one "x" for all the tabs.

You can't do this. If you want just one x you must use version 1.5
Firefox has a theme "winestripe". It allows a 1.5 look in 2.0 but it won't solve the tab problem.

I would suggest going to Microsoft.com and downloading IE7. I personally like the one X for each tab in FireFox 2, but IE7 might be just what you're looking for.

mozilla went to a lot of trouble to write out all the help files,,, please read them
all you have to do is stop the tabs and bingo and return to windows type pages
