That's a good idea, but not the best. The best way is to show your real heart to the people you love and loving you. You do not need to buy them something. You can do something for them which can really help them, like cooking, or cleaning... Hope you have a happy Christmas.

I'm a diabetic, so I would say no to the candy. I also know what being broke is all about, so here are some suggestions that have worked for me in the past....

--homemade gift cards: "This card entitles bearer a free back massage, foot rub, etc..." You figure out what the gift will be.
--clean a bedroom or closet or house as a gift
--iron clothes as a gift
--organize something (closet, garage, kitchen, car...)
--babysit
--paint a room, a house, a boat, a shed, etc...
--cook a meal, etc...
--the list goes on forever

Hope this helps.

God Bless and Merry Christmas!!!

there are other things other than candy one can do. a home made Christmas card with love will do more than an expensive gift. how about treating someone to a hand written story, song or poem. expressing the love and friendship you have for them. one year a Lady who helped me through college was down and she said, " I wish someone would shoot me and put me out of my misery. " I took this as a clue and drew a gun on the computer and numerous bullets besides each bullet I listed a positive thought. as an example
" GOD loves you " -- " Your dad loves you. " " you help others "
" I love you. " " you are friendly " " you give happiness to others " etc. etc. came up with over 100 different " bullets " and I later found out She framed it and has kept this " stupid card " to this day.
