I'm from a warm state, and I'm going to Michigan for Christmas. Is 46 degrees like cold. Does it usually feel cold where you would have to wear a winter jacket? How should I dress?

Heck no, that is considered warm here in Michigan! We swim when it is 70 degrees when you warm weather people all have wool hats on. I wont even need a coat today at 46 degrees.
It is 46 here now, but by Christmas it could very well be 10, so dress warm. This weeks warm weather isn't normal for us this time of the year so it wont last long.
Open your frig and if that feels too cold to you then you will be cold here! A frig is generally set at 40 or below.

In a state like Michigan, 46 degrees in the winter is like a heat wave. However, if you are just visiting, bring a warm jacket, a warm cap, a scarve and gloves. Boots would probably be a good idea as well. (like Uggs) Have a nice trip. I love Michigan.

I am from Michigan and 46 is not that bad. Right now we are having unseasonably warm weather but that can change at any moment. Bring a winter jacket, scarf, gloves, hat. Have jeans, long shirts, sweaters, etc. It is December and it can get very cold, like in the 20's. I hope you enjoy your stay. Merry Christmas!

Trust my answer. I'm in Detroit. Be grateful that it's 46 degrees. I has gotten below 0 degrees farenheit around this time of years periodically.

Yes, 46 is warm for us actually, but if you are adapted to a warm climate, it will seem cold to you. this time of year, temps belong in the mid 30s, 46 degrees is above average. We approached recod heat earlier this morning if you dindt kow that.

By the way, be prepared, NWS models and they are suggesting some snow for Christmas eve night. How much will fall though is still uncertain though.

46 Degrees is very cold, London in winter usually hits just above that although this year has been quite mild. You need to dress in winter coats, padded jackets, wooley jumpers, etc. and don't forget your gloves !

46 degrees isn't bad for winter. To be safe, you should bring a winter jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, in case it gets colder than that, but also bring a lighter jacket. It's good to be prepared.

If you are from a warm state it will feel cold to you. take plenty of warm clothes so that you have some to chose from and when you go out put on layers so that if yu get to warm you can take a layer off to be just right. BE CAREFUL TRAVELING AND HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
