I want to get my son Zen, but i don't know of it's the best choice. I want to be able to watch full length movies, and listen & record fm radio. I have an old computer so i cannot download anything, is there an adapter w/ any of these that can go into the TiVo(DVR), tv or dvd or cd player for music videos or movies. Is there a place that I can go to that can download songs, and/ or movies for me. If not is the downloading something that I can discreetly and quickly do at work from a more updated computer.

if i was u i will buy a zune bec is better than a ipod and if more hip than ipod if u buying it for your son and have very fun color black-blue ,white-white,brown-green i hope i help.

Neither of them are bad. Neither of them are excellent:

ZUNE:
Not so good battery 8-12 hours
Amazingly big Screen
Much better video playback
Customizable (wallpaper, theme, etc)
WiFi song/photo sharing*
Thicker and heavier
Tactile controls (no accidental song changes/volume)
Same price as ipod.
Supports WMA, MP3, WAV formats
Displays Album art much, much nicer, larger than ipod

IPOD:
Smaller Screen
much better battery life 14 hours
NOTHING is customizable! other than main menu
Tiny, thin, sleeker
Brighter, SLIGHTLY clearer screen
ONLY supports AAC and MP3 formats.
small album art

Personally, ide take the Zune. Just cause it supports WMA and has a larger screen. those 2 seal the deal, for me.

Depends on what you want. The Zen and the Zune are the only ones that have FM radio, But the iPod is probably the easiest to use out of all of them.
iTunes Store with all the things they have to offer would be great for you movies and music that you want, but with an old computer might take a long time to download them. If you want to download things for free i recommend Limewire, or Morpheus.(Limewire is starting to get quite a few viruses in it) DO NOT GET WIN MX. And everything you download from any P2P program can be sent to Itunes as long as it is mp3 or wav format and it will take most movie from them too. But no matter what all those have a program you have to download (not to discrete at work).
But other than that:

Zen:Cheap and good little more difficult to use, but a great player in the long run

Zune: Huge Screen great for movie watching visit their website http://www.zunescene.com/

iPod Video: although expensive SUPER easy to use and is the only one of those to work with itunes.

Hope this helps some!

IF you get an iPod you'll have to put iTunes on your comp. iTunes demands alot from your computer, so I wouldn't put it on your old comp. Get a zen, it plays many different formats(mpg,avi,mp4...).

You can buy software that will convert dvds( if your comp has a DVD player) to avi, then you can put the avi on the zen.

iTunes does have an impression music and movie collection though.
