The closest store to me is a while away and I don't want to have to drive there. I'm wondering if I can by one at CVS or Walmart or someplace like that I know I've seen other types of Gift Certs. there.

Why don't you call them up and ask if you can buy one
over the phone. Pay with your credit card and they can mail
the Gift Certificate to you.
I don't think Wall Mart or other stores would sell some one
else's GC's. They want your money for their own GC's.

Very unlikely,most stores sell their own gift cards.
However you can get something like a VISA gift card that can be used anywhere that accepts the VISA card. You do need to be mindful of any fees attached to the card. Some people got the cards last year onlt to find out that the balance was zero before the recipient even got the card or the balance was less because a transaction fee was added everytime a person used the card.
Ther might not be that problem now because of the number of complaints,but I'd still check for any other fees.
You can always give a personal check or cash and let them use the money as they want.
You might also be able to order one at lowes.com.

Hey nalamf. No, I do not think that is true. Even though they are very similiar stores, doesn't mean that they are the same stores. For instance, I know someone who loves to shop at two places. Limited Too, and Justice for Girls. Theya re both sister stores, but she can't use a Limited Too gift card for Justice. It wouldn't work. Just like you couldn't return something from Home Depot to Lowe's. Hope this helps and have fun with your gift cards!! Hapy New Year

Staples or Office max usually have a good assortment of gift cards - the only problem is that you can't choose the amount you want - you have to buy whatever amounts they have in stock. Why not go to the Lowes website?
