I really want to learn how to salsa, but I don't know how. I tried videos but then I realized that I had a little problem, I have no one to dance with. And so, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas abou the best way for me to learn. I am really interested and if anyone actually knows from experience, that would be really great. Thanks!

In many major cities you can find places that have free dance lessons. Naturally they want you to go to the studio and pay but you can get introduced to it for free.

Salsa is about rythm. You don't need a partner to start. First you have to find your place with the music, feel it, forget about the steps, just dance. Once you have that covered then you can start by incorporating the basic steps. If you want to dance like a ballroom dancer, take classes, if you want to dance like a puertorican, dance to the rythm and don't stop shaking that booty.

good luck!

Dancing is not something you can learn, in my humble opinion, without taking lessons from someone who knows the dance! Find a local studio.

Take a trip to Cuba...you'll have a nice vacation and learn to Salsa at the same time!

take lessons, either at a nightclub or a dance studio. You need to see real people doing it and taking you through the moves.

I suggest group dance lessons. They are usually inexpensive compared to private lessons.
