Not 'Ghost Riders in the Sky? ' it was a very jolly light harted fast song, i thought it may have been prefab sprout !

is it R-A-D-I-O by Graham Central Station??
It was an r & b tune from 1978 or so..
Larry Graham was a band member of Jimi Hendrix. In the 70's he formed another band w/ his wife. His most famous song from that time was ONE IN A MILLION which is one of the top wedding songs used by black americans.

It went something like: R-A-D-I-O ooo, sure sounds good to me eee....,it has sorta a doo-wop sound and the "yip yip " stuff is at the end when the song is trailing off... Larry Graham is famous for his deep deep voice, good looks, and stellar guitar playing.

It was "Pecos Bill", a Disney song, sung by Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers. I found the lyrics here:
