I was born with black hair that all fell out by the time I was six months my new hair grew in blond but was so light I looked bald until I was 2. :) My youngest daughter was born with jet black thick long hair. She got it from her dad. It started turning blond when she was about 6 months and now she is almost 6 It is really a nice dirty blond but I expect eventually it will turn back to black.

My daughter was born with a thick head of Black hair....but soon it started to fall out. She went 3 month with no hair at all and now that she is getting her hair back it is blonde with red in it. When I asked the dr. about this he said that babies are not always born with the hair color they will have and they can actually change yet again. He said that my daughters hair may be red may be blonde or she could have dark hair....just be glad they don't stay bald forever.

One of life's strange little oddities - I was born with jet black hair, it went very light blonde until the age of 9 then it started getting to the darker brown stages ... now it is back to jet black with the help of hair dye though this time!!

Its nothing to worry about. I was born with jet black hair, it slowly went brown, then i was white blond for years, now its a light brown dark blond. My friends baby was born with brown hair, she went ginger and now is strawberry blond. Its weird i know but perfectly norman, just signs of them growing and developing.

Babies don't always keep the hair they were born with, I think it has to do with hormones! but they tend to shed it and grow in new hair. the blond could be a permanent color, but it could darken as they get older.
