Ummm....I'm a South African Italian supporter and I do want Cannnavaro to win but just as a send off maybe they should give Zidane the award.
Ok, I know that you'll never agree but sometime's FIFA gives the Player of the year for emotional reasons too. Zidane has done a lot to help football progress and maybe we should reward him for one last time.

Come on. He is the one of greatest player i have ever seen. Only his act which he done in final makes u feel that way. Else you should admit that His performance was really good in world cup including final. He really deserve it.

yes, i think zizou deserves it more than anyone else 'cuz not many players in the WC can claim they singlehandedly brought their team to the finals. anyway, the debate should be over soon, canna seems to have already won it. i'm watching real v. espanol game now and they just mentioned canna's winning will be in the breaking news at half time here....
edit: its confirmed canna won, zz reportedly got 2nd place. could there have been a mere headbutt of a difference in the votes?hmmm...

that report is biased, if he got nominated then he is certainly good enough to deserve it
he cam out of retirement to help out his team, he worked alone to get france to the final, i really think he deserves it, he proved it and u no he deserves it as well as all the others which hve been nominated
