Like any of you punks would stand there while 5 guys are coming at you and your team is making there way back to the locker room. I'm not saying that what he did was right but not everyone is as mature as "king lebron"....some people just have to learn the hard way. Give the guy a break.

No, its completely unacceptable. His JOB is to act in accordance with the given rules and this certain job took him out of the ghetto and into a life I'm sure Mello NEVER thought he'd have. What he did shows he has no respect for his job and that he really doesn't want to be there. David Stern should just kick any players out who don't comply with the rules. Imagine a defending lawyer getting in a fight with the prosecuting counsel.... It's the same thing....The Same Thing.

I understand that he reacted in the moment, but lets be honest here, what he did was dumb. He is to important of a player to lose his cool like that. He is going to cost his team alot of losses after his suspension. I'm guessing he might get 20 games.

I guess u havnt seen the vid cuz they werent goin to the locker room. melo sucker punched the guy and ran like a little ***** *****. He needs atleast a 10 game suspension w/o pay. Hes only the 4th best player in the draft anyway behind bronbron, wade, and bosh

as a fan of the new york knicks let me say this. the knicks are a pathetic excuse of a basketball team and isiah thomas is a pathetic excuse for a gm/ coach. the team he put together is terrible.

yeah, i guess he needs a break. but compare him to dwyanne who doesn't brandish visible tattooes and doesn't get into fights. Melo even got quoted at the start of the season saying he needs to be more of a leader to this team.
