thats exactly what its suposed to say, you have your new drive in correctly, horay!!!!
now its time to put the windows xp cd into the cd rom and boot up, then when you see the message to boot from cd hit any key, hit any key.

you may need to go to the bios and set up the first boot device to be the cd rom in order to boot the windows xp cd.

thats easy im sure you can figure it out.

good luck

When you get that message it means that there's a problem with your MBR (Master Boot Record). The MBR tells the computer where the operating system on the harddrive is. Reformatting the drive won't fix this problem because it won't write another one.

To fix the problem, you'll need to:

1) Erase the partition where you loaded XP,

2) Create a new partition to load XP, and set that partition to ACTIVE,

3) Format that partition and re-install XP.
