i don't know i've never been purposed to but i would guess if u love the guy and wanna be with him and u know that he is atleast making some effort to get the ring then i would say wait as long as it takes!!!

To me, the ring should go on your finger the instant the words come out of his mouth, otherwise, he's not proposing, he's just suggesting.
