You need to shave with the grain, then when you are finished, I was always told to apply colder water. This way it would close your pores and prevent irritation. There is also a product from Origins called "Fire Fighter" that seems to help take the sting out of shaving your body. Usually I shave, cold water, then fire fighter, then wear a cotton t to not irritate my chest, and then I'm set. I know it sounds like a big production, but it really isn't. Especially when I don't have razor burn/bumps from it. Good luck!

I have discovered that the electric shavers cause less irritaion than most. I own a remington titanium and i love it! You use the trimmer to trim off all the hair. Then you change the removable blade head to the mesh-screen shaver to go in closer for a smoothe BUMP FREE shave!

Contrary to the TV commercials, do NOT shave against the grain. That is the biggest cause of ingrown hairs (bumps). Get and electric razor will help alot.

Shave downwards, not upwards. Also, do not go back over an area once it's been shaved.

Try some other hair removal method, which may be more suitable.
