To change screen resolutions, you'll need to follow the following steps:

1) RIGHT-click in a blank area of your desktop, which will bring up a menu,

2) LEFT-click the PROPERTIES option at the bottom, which will bring up a dialog box to change things like your screen saver, etc.

3) Click the SETTINGS tab at the top, which will allow you to change screen resolutions.

4) Move that "arrow" to wherever you want the resolution to be set. Moving RIGHT increases it, while moving LEFT lowers it. For example, moving it right will take you from 640 x 480 to say 800 x 600.

5) Click APPLY and then OK. Windows will give you a dialog box after a few seconds asking if you want to keep these settings. If everything looks good to you, then say YES. If not, then say NO.
