I just finished reading 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' by Susanna Clarke. 'J. Strange and Mr. N' is a very good book. Its long and can be winded at some stages but I assure you it is very much worth the read. Ms. Clarke has done an exceptional job at creating a very indepth work.
And at the moment I am also reading 'Stardust' by Neil Gaiman ( a favorite of mine), 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' by Hunter S. Thompson (A fantastic read even more trippy than the movie.) , and 'The Time Travelers Wife' by Audrey Niffinegger (Its a beautiful story.)

I tend to read three to four books at a time. Currently I am reading The Dead Letters by Tom Piccirrilli, These Guns for Hire (a hitman anthology from Bleak House), Heartshaped Box by Joe Hill and other various short story anthologies.

Ya Da Vinci Code is a great book, I'm working on Lisey's Storey (Stephen King) which is very good so far, and a not-so good political thriller called Hunter Killer by Patrick Robinson.

At the moment I'm reading 'When Rabbit Howls'. It's really intense. It documents a severe case of incest and abuse, which results in a case of multiple personality. It was actually written by 'The Troops' - the 92 personalities created by this abuse. It is an horrific story, but also an amazing story of strength and survival. Not a 'good' read, but an amazing and powerful one.

I've read most all of Dan Brown's books and liked them. I also enjoyed the books of Trevanian. If you like Brown, you might like him as well. I loved "Woman on the Edge of Time", the series by Patricia Morrison (Jim Morrison's wife) and tons of others. I just like to read.
