Can anyone describe or point me in the right right direction as to what relationship activation energy and the collision theory have?

From my falible memory. They are related by the reaction rate.

The theory is that if two reactive molecules collide with sufficient (activation energy) they will react. As the concentration of reactants increases the statistical probability of a collision increases, as the temperature increases the probability that the collision will have sufficent energy (activation energy) to react.

Good luck
