I have a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix, and the passenger side door is stuck. When I pull on the handle (interior and exterior), I can hear the mechanism inside the door moving like it is working. I believe it is the latch that is sticking. But I am not completly sure. Any help on what it could be and how to possibly fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

After looking a little closer I noticed it is not the latch I am now about 97% sure that it is the lock that is sticking in the lock position and I can not unlock it. No matter what I do.

the latch release probably came off on the inside of it,,if you get it open take the door panel off and put it back on,,good luck.

get rid of the door panel. you are able to unplug the capacity switches previously you're taking the panel off. pull the wires by way of the hinge part.Take out the rubber plug, go away wires interior the plug and take the completed harness out of the door.

if they freeze, they break, happened 2x on both doors at once on my wifes car, had to get towed in to be fixed

try to lubricate it with ssome wD-40
