isn't that like an award celebrities win for doing work on movies and tv? so i guess your son if you choose that name is the best you and your wife made.

You can name a kid whatever you want. If you and your wife/girlfriend like the name Emmy for a boy, then by all means name him that. I grew up with a really weird name. I didn't like it when I was a kid, but now I love it.

well i dont know really i have a daughter her name is emily but her friends call her emma and emmy alot of the time instead of emily.

i actually have a frined, emmett, who we call emmy. i don't think it's a girls name exclusively. there are plenty of unisex names in our language: pat, terry, cory, etc.
