were can i download a driver for a 2.5 harddrive that goes in a extenal caddy my pc says unknow device

Its not the harddrive, hardware drivers are standard. Its the external caddy, if its usb or firewire you are going to need the appropriate drivers. Once installed the drive will be available.

sounds like the IBM compact flash disk
so Id try the IBM/HITACHI site
as its a bit exotic the driver downlaod sites may nto be too helpfull
if the worse coem to the worse try approaching hte manufacturer direclty

Generally speaking, you don't need rivers for a hard disk drive. You may, however, require drivers for the drive controller. Check your manufacturer's website for more information and for driver files.
