hey, ive wondered that as well and i especially hate it when they change the channel right at the moment when you are paying attention to whatever is on the tv .. and then you go ' QUICK, change it back .." and they ignore you for like 5-10 secs with a dumbfounded look on their faces and when they finally change it back, its all over red rover!!

Its the fear...
there forever worried their missing out on something better!
An shopping's so boring to them cos most men hate to admit to being soo indecisive.
Women will try out 10 tops in 5 shops before deciding the liked the 1st one,
Men like to feel good about their decision an be happy in the knowledge that their 1st choice was the best!!!

Going to shops is a bore. We men know what we want, buy, and get out. Women dither, look and dither about even more.
About tele: I have one, but rarely watch it because I am either doing uni work, relaxing with Mates (Like out until the wee hours Saturday AM) doing something with my computer, playing with my dogs, or other interesting things.
Except for sex and football, alas, men have the attention span of a gnat. Sorry Ladies, but that's how we are (and why we are often called "w@nkers").

haven't you ever seen seinfeld :-), women nest while men hunt, so while women will want to see what is on tv, men only want to see what else is on tv. I hope seinfeld doesn't sue me for using his line.
no seriously, if something looks boring at first glance while waste another 10 minutes looking at it when you could miss 10 minutes of a better program worth watching, like football.
as for the shopping question; are you both shopping, or is he waiting around for you while you shop? the waiting can be pretty boring; i mean, unless you're shopping at victoria's secret and he is there watching you try on clothes and other delicious unmentionables.

I reckon it's a power thing. If they've got the remote control they will channel hop just because they can.
As for the shopping - it depends what you are shopping for. My man will spend hours and hours in DIY shops looking at all sorts of boring stuff. He is however also, very patient and likes coming shopping with me for my things. so perhaps it isnt a gender thing but to do with the level of interest in what is being bought. I hate shopping for clothes - YES a woman who hates shopping for clothes!!!!

That's mine too! Even if he likes what he's watching he still turns it, and then will end up engrossed in a completely different program, turn it, and do the same thing over again. I hate missing parts of shows that were actually decent.
My husband hates shopping too, but that's okay, as long as he doesn't mind if I do it.

Because they are poisoned by testosterone!!! Just kidding. My bf does the same thing and instead of letting it bug me I just remember that he's a man and that's how they are. Besides, we have 4 tv's so if I want to escape that constant bouncing around I go to our room or another in the house to have peaceful viewing of all the chick programs I want to see.
