Not a doctor, but the same thing happened to me.
I now have two beautiful children!
Depo is great for the right people. Not me.
Please see your Dr. or another Dr. I don't think your current physician is hearing you if you have been trying for so long without his/her added assistance. I had a lot of symptoms and after effects - solution doctor provided was to treat PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrom) symptoms-common to women post depo. I also went back on the pill for a cycle of three months to regulate my periods - 28 day cycles (vs 50). I started taking folate and prenatal vitamins taking care of myself -- then was off of the pill for 3 months (should have waited longer) and I got pg right away.

The depo shot is notorious for screwing up someones cycle. A good place to start with is charting out your cycles so you can get an average length at least. And this cycle btw, is from day 1 of your period, to the first day of your next cycle. I'll give you a great link to start doing that called my monthly cycles. Next step after you have that averaged out. You can get ovulation testers. You can get them for a buck each at the Dollar Tree. And they tell you to start taking them at about 10 days after the 1st day of your period to sense when you are ovulating.

try www.mymonthlycycles.com I did and with in 2 months I was pregnat..we too had been trying for almost 2 years! It calculates your periods average and when you are most likely to ovulate..it make take you a little longer then it did me..but it's a shot! Also try buying an ovulation predictor kit! GOOD LUCK

When you were at the doctor, did they just do a physical exam or did they run blood tests as well? If they didn't take any blood, they should do so to check your hormone balance, thyroid and blood sugar. There are lots of things that can cause irregular periods. Mine were crazy, but the doctor found the cause in the bloodwork and I'm cooking baby #1 as we speak. Good luck.

Try using and ovulation test. you can get them at walmart, heck my dollar store sells them here in Texas! but this will help tell when you are ovulating, you might have to use a few to determine when you are, but they are the most reliable, you can also go online and find info on basal body temp, here are few links
