A) Being popular is not important. It's the popular people who often fail in life because they think they're too good for everything and their heads are in the clouds.
B)If you really want to be popular. Depends on your gender.
Female-Wear mini skirts, hang out at the mall a lot, and say "OH MY GAWD!" a lot, really loudly to annoy people.
Male-Wear polo shirts, make some sort of sports team(Preferably basketball), and only keep a girlfriend for, at max, two weeks.

Try dressing up in fashionable clothes, be in any sport and excel in it, be friends with the pretty girls and make them dress up like you, get the guys' attention.
It is fun trying to be popular while you're in school, but remember to stay away from the drugs 'coz that is not popular at all. And Paris Hilton is nothing but elite white trash.

There is a lot of responsibility when trying to be popular. You’ll need to figure out who the cool people are, and learn about what they like. First you need to dress fashionably, in this case accessories, hair style, and shoes would need to match that group’s style.
You’ll need memorably story about yourself so other can talk about how cool you are. Make your topics of discussion that same as theirs (movies, guys, magazines, music, etc). Next you’ll need to assess your attitude and learn the communications style and words of that popular group.
Seek out a popular person and interact with that one popular person. Make sure that person has interest similar to yours so the transition to the popularity group is seamless. This person will back you up as the type that would fit into their circle of friends.
Now to get invited to parties, act like you’re at the party. Laugh and interact with others, become interesting by knowing the latest topics related to your target group. Talk with many people and remember each of their names; be humorous, in an entertaining sort of way.
Most importantly have an attitude that reflects your groups mentality. In a sense mimic them and the will gravitate towards you, you will not need to really seek them out.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
Finally, realize that this is a lot of work to popular.
Maybe it’s easier just to be who you are do what you enjoy. Find people that like what you do, and share your interest with them. You’ll be a lot more comfortable and enjoy your real friends. Be popular with yourself first.

To be popular, talk to hott guys. Don't be afraid to speak your mind. Be bold in everything you do. Add as much accesories to your uniform as possible. Does your school have any kind of rule against make-up? If not try light eyeshadow. DONT...repeat DONT, wear too dark makeup! You'll look goth...not cool!

the only reason she's popular is because some of her grandparents were ruthless moneymakers and she's lapping up the luxury they left her
she's almost as brain dead as her mother, and she wouldn't be considered at all beautiful if people didn't know who she was
